About Jude
This is where I get to tell you a little about myself and no one can
give me a bad time about being long winded. Born way too many years ago, in a
tiny community off the west coast of Canada, I learned to love the outdoors and
anything to do with the ocean pretty much as soon as I could walk. Married, at
the ripe old age of eighteen to my high school sweetheart, we live very happily,
still on the coast and in a small town.
I've written for most of my life, but until I found the internet in the late
1990's, had hidden all those nasty tales that would creep onto the pages. There,
amazingly, I found that others wanted to read them. And so, I worked at
improving a skill I had always loved, but had never tried to polish. It's also
where my dream began, to actually do something with these erotic tales that
seemed to gush out of me.
I joined a small online writing group called Erotica Writers Too, which somehow
I managed to inherit. That lasted a few years, but finally, I couldn't spare the
time to run it and had to close its doors. That's where I met, and became good
friends with D. Musgrave, a talented man who's also been a wonderful help with
his editing skills.
Somewhere along the way, I decided I wanted a place to show off, and that's when
this site came into being. I got shuffled a few times, learned about website
building and agonized over the, 'how to's' and ' why won't that *&%$#@* work?'
until what you see here finally emerged. Now it's an ongoing labor of love. I
stash my bits here as I please and called it:
~My Haven~
I joined the
Erotica Readers and Writers Association, in among all this and it was
there, I continued the polishing of my craft. I' have several works published on
their site, a few permanently archived much to my pleasure, so check them out if
you have time. It's an amazing site with some of the most fantastic authors,
editors and resources on the internet.
I wrote for several e-zines over the next few years,
Darker Pleasures, a fetish zine
was where I learned a great deal about discipline and deadlines. I wrote for
two spanking sites, A Private Affair and The Domestic Disciplinarian, both
defunct now, unfortunately, were a real eye opener and I learned that I could
negotiate what rights I was willing to give up and where I needed to draw the
line. Man's Story 2, a great site where the women are gorgeous, and in some
peril or other, and the men are handsome and always willing to come to the
rescue, at a price, wink, wink, nudge nudge. I have work scattered all over the
net, For the Girls,
ERWA and
The Dominants View, along with others.
I've gone from the publishing houses of Amatory Ink, to Renaissance E-Books, to
Venus Press, two of which closed their doors after much too short a time. I was
with
Phaze, for a few years, happy so I must
add. But we've no parted company and I've moved on.
I'm extremely happy to have signed on with the publishing house of
Total-E-Bound
and am incredibly pleased with how they treat their authors. I've got several
single author titles with them and have become the Canadian half of a writing
team with a great friend, Jenna Byrnes. We began working together in early 2008
and, at first, we were both a little afraid we'd wind up arguing, but it's been
awesome. So far, we've had two series' accepted with Total-E-Bound and we're
still working on the latest. Book #6 of our Kindred Spirits series is our next
venture.
I'm also with
BWLPP Spice, a new outfit that majors in picking up the out of
print books we authors have sooner or later. My Dealing With trilogy is with
them, or will be when I can get the final book written. Odd to have two books in
a trilogy re-released without that last one to ever see the light of day.
eXtasy Books
is my very latest find as a publishing house. And, it's my first time with a
Canadian outfit. I'm really impressed with their staff, Tina is awesome and
she's in B.C., so you never know, I could actually meet her one day. She's shown
a great deal of interest in the books I had with Phaze, so I'm sending those
over one or two at a time, plus I'm dying to send her something new.
So that's me for now. Check out these two fantastic publishing houses to find my
work. I've also got a
blog and a
Twitter thing, oh and I've begun making video
trailers for my books too. Check those out on
YouTube
And, if you'd like to sign up for my mailing list, please fill out the form
HERE and I'll
send you my monthly newsletter.
Join my
newsletter/chat group on yahoo, if you're interested in keeping up with
what I'm into, or just want to chat. I'm always there and love to meet and get
to know my fans. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. I hope you'll
explore the rest of the site now.
Hugs
Jude
