Whoo Hooo! The contracts are signed and I'm now an
official member of the Total E-Bound publishing
house. Yay! Actually, this is the second contract but
I've been insanely busy and haven't had time to update
the site until today. Here goes. Phaze: Two books
accepted and the schedule rearranged so I'll have one
coming out in August and another in November. Total
E-Bound, and this is a new experience for me. An
awesome new writing partner, Jamie Hill and I are in the
process of creating a trilogy of changeling novels we're
calling Untamed Hearts. The first book, Feral Heat
has been accepted and the contract signed. The most
recent contract is for Ghost of a Chance, a Lust Bites
shortie that I subbed to them. It's been a grand two
weeks.

A new publishing house is closing. Dark
Eden Press, where I'd placed my Who Races - Who Wins
is closing down as of today due to the illness of the
owner. I'm extremely sorry to see this one do, it showed
a great deal of promise and they were a great bunch to
work with. I wish Deb all the best and a speedy
recovery.

LOOK!!
http://www.darkedenpress.com/book_jude-mason-who-races-who-wins.html
This is an odd feeling. Who Races-Who Wins is the first
full length novel I've written. It was finished several
years ago, and I was pretty amazed at myself for being
able to string that many words together. The book isn't
for everyone, the fetish is a pretty specific and not
for some readers. But, it's one I enjoyed researching
and finding out about. I mean what would make a man want
to be treated like an animal. The pony girl fetish is
much more widely known, and I've never delved too deeply
into it either. They're much the same, but from
completely different perspectives, right?
Tomorrow this goes live, but I wanted to share this
triumph with you all. I'm really excited about it and
hope you guys go have a look.

A
little happy dancing here folks.
As some of you might know, my short story 'Those Boots'
was accepted for publication in the
anthology L Is for Leather which will come
out in Feb 2008 with Cleis Press.
Well, I'm really thrilled about it and I got the cover
yesterday. Here's a peek:
Is this sexy or what? Here's the blurb that's already up
at Amazon: |
 |
Alison Tyler continues the best-selling erotic alphabet
series with this collection of stories about all things
leather. Lisette Ashton exults in the sultry,
distinctive aroma of leather with a perfect description
of the erotic aspect of sliding into a new leather
jacket in "Truman Capote Was Wrong." In "Sunday
Service," author Kate Pearce takes a love of leather
even further in this homage to a black belt. These
stories will fill your senses with all there is to enjoy
in leather.
Now, I also found out, that you can pre-order it if
you're so inclined and thought I'd share the link with
you.
http://www.amazon.com/Leather-Erotic-Alphabet-Alison-Tyler/dp/1573443085/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1195093604&sr=1-7
Blink, they don't believe in mega links at all... Jeeze!
Anyhoo, this promises to be one hell of a book, and if
you're into leather, I know you'll enjoy it. Lisette
Ashton, well I know him and he's an awesome writer, and
a crazy man...LOL Alison Tyler is well known for her
editing and the books she's put together, so I was truly
thrilled to have something in this one.

Hello everybody.
Phaze is conducting a reader's survey to get an idea of
what people want, what people look for, and what we can
do to make people happy. Our publisher, the adorable Kat
Lively, has constructed the survey and it will only take
a moment of your time. you can see it/take it here:
http://phaze.com/readerssurvey.html
It's a cut and paste job, and all of the instructions
are on the page.
All readers who
take the survey will receive a free eBook for their
time, and be put in a drawing to win three paperbacks of
their choice. To make it more beneficial for the
authors, she's adding an author incentive.
In the survey she's included a tag for an author
referral. The Phaze author who gets the most referrals
will receive a prize, so I'd appreciate a vote. The more
we know what readers want, we'll be able to give it to
them.
This survey will run until November 15th.

Okay, I need your help. Here's the deal. My bookcover
for Jesse's Homecoming has been nominated for best cover
of the month at Erin Aislinn's website and I'd really
love it if you'd take a moment to go and have a look.
There are some amazing covers there...gulp! I'd really
appreciate the vote. Any of us would, but I think
Elissia Brio did an awesome job on mine and I think
she'd be really pleased if the cover did well.

Super easy to vote, just click on the link beside the
cover of your choice and bingo it's pretty much done.
Thanks so much.

Some pretty amazing news for me this go around. I was
visiting one of the yahoo clubs I'm fond of chatting in,
and mentioned that I was looking for a new publisher,
possibly two. I got a couple of replies but that wasn't
the big news. That evening, I got an email from one of
the staff of Dark Eden Press. Susan White, asked me
about a book I had previously had published called Who
Races-Who Wins, and if I'd thought of submitting it to
DEP. One thing led to another and I wound up
sending it to her, in all it's unedited glory. I was
contacted a few days later by the head honcho, Debra
Durham, and she's apparently read the book and liked it
a lot. She also said it needed a really good edit. LOL
Yup, I agreed with her, and I now have a contract in the
mail. Whoo Hooo!
Dark Eden Press is one of the new kids on the block, but
it's got a lot going for it. The three women who own and
run it, aren't in a mad scramble to get books into
print. They want to take their time and do it right.
Debra, who is extremely easy to talk to, as is everyone
I've spoken to so far, said by the time Who Races-Who
Wins is published with them, they'll be listed in
Fictionwise and have ISBN numbers. All is good. So, I'm
a happy camper and looking forward to working with the
editors to see what needs fixing... ugh... tons of
stuff, but that's good too.

A
new release, Jesse's Homecoming, from Phaze. I really am
thrilled to have my first lesbian western out. Not my
first les story to be sure, but it's been awhile and I
really had fun with this one. Been a while since I rode
a horse, or bathed one, but just telling about it was a
gas. Check it out at Phaze.
June 15.2007
Wow, author of the month! I made it and am being
featured on the
Essence of Erotica
website as well as sent out in their newsletter.
Thrilled doesn't even begin to explain my feelings.
Flabbergasted is closer. Click on the picture and it'll
whiz you off to see what all the hoopla is about.

June 07.2007
What a
busy couple of weeks. Sammy is all done, or I should
say, Sam, the Man, and sent off to Kat at Phaze this
afternoon. Phew! I sure hope she likes it/him.
It's destined for the Phaze Fantasies VI anthology and
already contracted. I had a thought about that too. It
was contracted before it was written. What happens if
she hates it? I mean the contract is signed and all, so
it's a done deal. Maybe? Re-writes? I honestly have no
idea. Let's hope I don't have to find out.
I'm off to work on a new one now. A sci-fi, futuristic,
femdom, alternate Earth kind of thing. Blink! Yeah I
know, different from my usual fare, but I figured what
the hell. This may be going to a prospective new
publisher. *Crossing fingers* The woman who runs
Mojocastle, a relatively new kid on the block, contacted
me after Michael Barnette let her know I was interested
in them. After the initial panic, I came up with a
scenario, tossed it back to her and she's interested.
So, I'll do my best.
That's it for now folks. Have an amazing Thursday!
May 15.2007
As you all know, Phaze is my main publisher, right?
Well, Phaze sells through Fictionwise too. I don't get
nearly as much per book sold there as I do when it's
sold through Phaze, but it's a big old store and they
sell a lot of books. I don't usually check very
often, but since Scorpio went live I admit I've checked
every few days. It started out in number 37 position in
the
Phaze store at Fictionwise
and I was kind of down. #37 isn't great. I checked a few
days later and it had risen to #20 something, and I
figured that was going to be it. Well, hot damn, I
checked this morning and.... drum roll please... It's
moved into #8 position. Whoo Hooo! Yup, I'm thrilled. #8
isn't #1, but it's definitely up there and I'm really
happy. I just had to share. I can't stop smiling. *G*
May 12.2007
Another book accepted, more stories sent off for those
heart stopping waits that make all writers nuts. I've
just signed the contract to a shortish story tentatively
called, Sam, the Man, a hot little tale of gay love and
lust, which is destined to go into the
Phaze
Fantasy VI anthology. Now all I have to do is write the
darned thing. Shoon Joining, a sci-fi alien/human love?
story has also just been taken by
Phaze.
I am so happy with
Phaze
it's nuts. (I bet you could tell that huh?)
But, I've also decided that I can't put all of my eggs
in one basket and have taken the leap.
Cobblestone Press
has a
quarterly magazine
that I have been eyeing for quite some time now. So, I
thought I'd give them a whirl. They take short stories
and I just happened to have one called, Yes, She Can.
Well, I sent it off and I'm back to the waiting game.
Ugh.
And last, but definitely not least, there's this
doctor/patient thing that's been accepted by
loveyoudivine
for a new venture they're going to be opening up soon. A
Bedside Manor section where all manner of wickedness
concerning doctors, patients, nurses and medical stories
will be housed. That's coming in September. So, if
you've got a liking for your doctor, or any other kink
concerning healthcare, keep your eyes open for that.
Talk to you again soon
April 28.2007
Preening here. *G* I just got news that Rose from
Romance at Heart has posted the review I just did with
her. What a great bunch of questions! Wanna see? Wanna
find out a little more about me? Oh heck, here's the
url.

Hope you enjoy and if you have questions, please don't
be shy, just ask.

A
couple of sites I'd love for you to try out and a plug
for a new venture I've been lucky enough to be included
in. M. Christian and Sage Vivant, the people who run
Custom Erotica Source,
are on the go again. Sage has a couple of sites for you
to check out, a book to peruse and some upcoming new
stuff.
The book, Your Erotic Personality, you can read about
here
And if you'd like to try the quiz, and who doesn't,
check it out
here
I played at it and it's an eye opener for sure. Oh, and
she's got a book trailer that is pretty awesome too.
To see that, go
here
Keep your eyes open in the next few months for more on
this and the opening of Sage's Advice, which I'll
be a part of, along with some of the best authors you'll
find anywhere. I have a feeling this is going to be
something big for me, and I can't wait for more news.
Feb. 1.2007
Check it out. I'm
on YouTube. Yup, I made a movie trailer for Roses
Have Thorns and plan on making more for other books and
new ones as they come out. I've been a busy, busy
girl and having a blast. Here's the URL:

January 26.2007
What a tumultuous
beginning of a year. Now there's a word, but it sure
fits. As some of you may know, I've been with
Venus Press for a couple of years pretty exclusively.
Well, that stopped a few weeks ago. The owner of the
company is nowhere to be found and the vice-president
resigned. Wow. The authors were left no
choice but to ask for their rights to their works back
and to find new homes for it all. I'm one of them.
I feel a little like a rat leaving the sinking boat.
The bad news is, well that was pretty much it. The
good news, and there is quite a bit of it, is I've found
two new publishers who are more than happy to help me
get my work back up and for sale. I was actually
invited to
loveyoudivine,
an exclusive, by invitation only, kind of artists colony
online. Sounds kind of hippyish don't it? I
love it. Claudia, the owner, is a dream to work
with and I love the aura of the place. Check them
out, I'm sure you'll love them too. Oh, and I got
to experiment with making cover for the first time. I've
even hornswaggled hubby into helping.
Phaze,
an offshoot of Mundania Press, and run by Kathryn
Lively, has been amazing. I submitted one story to them,
hoping to get my foot in the door and have been
overwhelmed with their willingness to re-publish some of
my previously published works. I've got amazing
new covers, check that out in the
bookcovers section
and stories coming out very soon with them, beginning in
February.
It's been one hell of a month. Let's hope things
slow down for awhile now.
Hugs

Cream: The Best of
the Erotica Readers and Writers Association is
now available in print. I don't usually do this,
but I'm going to add a little blurb about the book here.
It's one of those I was thrilled to be a part of and I
hope it does well.
Cream is a
selection of short fiction previously published
on the website of the renowned Erotica Readers
and Writers Association (www.erotica-readers.com).
For ten years, ERWA has offered free, high
quality erotic writing by both renowned authors
and newcomers. Every month the site publishes a
new set of stories and "flash fiction" (erotica
under 100 words). Each month's stories are
selected by ERWA editors from dozens of
submissions to "Storytime," a subscription-based
email list and writing workshop.
Now, for the first time, Cream collects the most
arousing and original work that has appeared on
ERWA. It includes an introduction by Lisabet and
Adrienne Benedicks, owner of ERWA, and of
course, a story by Lisabet. Five different theme
sections such as "La Petite Mort," "Erotic Sci
Fi", "A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words",
"Swinging and Swapping," and "Humorous Erotica,"
with several stories in each, comprise the bulk
of the book. Also included is a non-theme
section of general erotica, and a section of
"flashers."
So, if you're
in the mood for an incredible read, this might
be just what you're looking for.
