Being widowed for six months hasn’t eased Cynthia Lyon’s pain.  Her husband was also her best friend and she misses him terribly.  She decides on taking a trip to her cottage and discovers a huge leak in the ceiling of the dining area. 

Determining that it’s too big of a construction job for her to do alone, she hires a contractor, Caleb Jenkins.  Having been burned by a contractor in the past, she’s remains cautious and in order to protect herself, proposes a unique contract, building into it punishments in case Caleb falls behind schedule. 

An Acquired Taste takes the reader on the journey of a sexy male submissive discovering his true nature and once I started reading, I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. The sexual tension between Cynthia and Caleb was palpable and their vulnerability towards each other was intriguing as well as highly stimulating.  The culmination of Jude Mason’s latest release is scorching and left me wanting more, more, more!

Caleb Jenkins was a second-generation carpenter at Jenkins and Sons Construction Company. He answered his phone one morning, and his life has not been the same since. Caleb has found a side of himself he enjoys very much.

Cynthia Lyons was a widow for six months, she loved her husband. They shared a special bond that she thought she would never have again. Of course that was before she met the divine construction worker that she had hired.

Cynthia had no idea what she was getting herself into when she hires Caleb Jenkins. All she knows is that she needs her roof fixed and she wants a sunroom. What she gets is that and a whole lot more. Caleb was shocked with himself after finding he enjoyed Lady Cyn’s punishments. The pleasure she shows him is beyond anything or anywhere he has ever reached in his sexual experiences.

An Acquired Taste is a hot, erotic and steamy story. Jude Mason knows how to capture you from the beginning of the story all the way to the end. I don't know how she does it. I was enthralled with this story and I am sure you will be too.

Several months after her husband’s death, Cynthia Lyon decides it‘s time to make a few changes.  Along with fixing the possible hole in her roof and adding a sunroom onto the house, Cynthia also decides to enter the dating scene again.  Surprisingly, she finds the solution to all of her problems in one place: Caleb Jenkins.  The contractor is willing to fix the roof, has a wonderful idea for the sunroom, and is stunning to boot.  But will he be able to abide by her rules?

Because she had been conned by a contractor in the past, Cynthia adds a little incentive to the contract she draws up for Caleb.  If he doesn’t meet his scheduled deadlines, Cynthia is to punish him – the way to be determined by her at the time of punishment.  Caleb isn’t sure what shocks him more, the stipulation, or the fact that he’s excited by it.  Though his professionalism insists that he finish on time, Caleb can’t help but wonder about Cynthia’s promise of punishment, and when fate steps in, he’ll get his chance to learn.

AN ACQUIRED TASTE is a sexy, interesting short story.  Cynthia is a woman just starting to live again, after the death of her husband.  Caleb is a man who has never found a woman he trusts enough to let himself go.  While the sex between them sizzles, there’s much more going on in their relationship.  Over the weeks he is working at her house, Cynthia and Caleb have many opportunities to talk, and they get to know each other well. 

As its name implies, AN ACQUIRED TASTE – with its bondage and domination theme – may not be for everyone, but is nevertheless an intriguing tale.

Cynthia Lyn is hesitant to get a contractor to fix her roof. When her husband was alive, they hired a contractor to fix the fireplace and the contractor left a hole in their finances as well as the wall. Finally, Cynthia has to do something so she hires Caleb as her contractor and tells him that he will be punished if he doesn't complete the work in the week he said he would. Caleb signs the contract not sure what Cynthia means by punishment.

Jude Mason has written an excellent story. Cynthia is a widow just getting over her husband’s death and ready to move ahead with her life. Caleb has no idea when he signs Cynthia’s contract what the punishment will be or that he will enjoy it and want more.

It's been six months since Cynthia Lyons lost her husband to a drunk driver. Cynthia loved her husband and thought they would be together for a long time, but sadly, fate had other ideas. Now Cynthia's body yearns for a man’s touch, but is it too soon? Or would Tom want her to go on living? Either way, Cynthia's libido is about to be put to the test with the new contractor she just hired to fix her roof and build a sun room. Caleb Jenkins is a blonde Adonis, a couple of years younger than her, and looks mighty delectable in his cutoffs. Caleb also seems to like taking orders, and Cynthia loves giving them. But can he adhere to her strict schedule? Or will he delight in the punishment Cynthia will dole out if he can't keep up?

Very well-written and brimming with sexual tension, AN ACQUIRED TASTE is definitely just that. Though not told in first person, readers are only treated to Cynthia's point of view, but that doesn't mean that they won't be able to read into Caleb's reactions to her every word and deed. Cynthia is a take-charge female, and that seems to be just what Caleb has been looking for, although he didn't know it until the very moment he met her. Readers will empathize with Cynthia because as much as she misses her husband, there's only so much that one can do for oneself before loneliness settles in. And once she sees Caleb, Cynthia is determined to enjoy every luscious inch of him.

A gentle, yet arousing BDSM by Jude Mason, AN ACQUIRED TASTE is just right for those who like to read about women who know how to get what they want from a man, especially a man so willing to give it.
