There are times when a gal just has to get away, when
the walls close in, and she just needs the space. Jesse
had ever been like that, and fortunately her partner and
lover Meg has always understood. Her need for the great
open spaces was like a burning in her blood, and yet her
love for Meg and the ranch always pulled her back within
the span of a few days. Jesse loved the work, loved Meg,
and loved her home, and it was really missing Meg
driving her homeward once again. She was close now,
tomorrow would see her back in her own bed, back in her
place beside Meg with the restlessness scratched, and
the need for the wide open outdoors met. She doesn't
know why, she only knows she needs, and Meg, as she
usually does, can understand. Now, she is anxious to get
back home, and if it wasn't quite so far, she would go
on, but six miles was taking a chance with her beloved
gelding, and Jesse just wasn't about to take that chance
with him. He was a good horse, the best she'd owned, and
in the twilight of the last day on the trail, Jesse and
Pepper bathed the trail dust off themselves, and settled
down to wait for daylight and the final leg of the trip
to home...
The love of her life was not there, and Meg knows that
if Jesse had been there when her ex-husband Jacob Fritz
showed up, he would have killed her. Meg would do
anything to protect Jesse from the monster who claimed
her and who had beat her yet again. He was cruel, nasty,
dirty, and trespassing on Jesse's property. Oh he
thought he had rights as it were, but Meg knew better,
and if she didn't know better, although the hands had
left for home, she had to count on them going for help.
She didn't know when Jesse would be back, and she knows
Jess will feel guilty, but there it was, her glaring
fault for entering the contest, and winning with her
pie. That is what enabled this horror to be revisited on
her yet again. It is her fault, and she will continue to
blame herself and worse if something happens to Jesse
because of her silly and vain stupidity and
carelessness. Now Meg’s only hope is the sheriff arrives
before Jacob kills her or her and Jesse if she should
arrive with her monster husband still around. But that
is a chance she took when she met Jesse, and when she
sought refuge in her love and her protection. She has
been down this road before, and if she has her way, she
will never go down it again. She only has to survive
till help arrives...
Jesse’s
Homecoming
is a poignant and erotic look at two women who love, and
have built a life together despite the odds. Jude Mason
brings home the love and devotion, as well as the
revenge as Jesse and Meg fight for their rights to be
free, live unmolested, and be rewarded by their hard
work. When Jesse arrives home, she is primed and anxious
to see Meg, but things are just not right on the ranch.
Where there should be activity, there is none, from
appearances, the chores have not been done, the men not
around as usual, and it is just too quiet. The problem
is now in Jesse's hands, and it is up to her to find a
solution. The setting for the book is in the west, the
Old West where men only thought they ruled, and where
women were actually respected for their hard work. The
story brims with the love, and eroticism for which June
has become renowned, and an element of revenge making
Jesse’s Homecoming a short book you won’t be able to
put down. It is available soon from
